Here's my tag....

Once again I used my scraps! I actually turned the tag into a card for a friend who had to have surgery this morning. (Good thoughts and prayers headed your way Linsey!)

I am still anxiously awaiting your creations. Don't forget to e-mail me your pictures. REMEMBER: the 1st three I receive will win a prize!

The Valentine's paper is on its way and will be delievered on Friday. The 2 lines coming are "How Do I Love Thee" from Moxxie and "Splendid" from Fancy Pants.

I just found out that Susan placed an order for the new Basic Grey yesterday! The 2 new lines she ordered are "Marrakech" and "Porcelain". They're both super AWESOME! She was told it would ship sometime next week! I'll keep you posted and let you know when it arrives. WHOOHOO! :)

I've done my card!

Well, here's my card using the challenge sketch. I am soooooo proud of myself because I used nothing but scraps to complete it. I'm usually too lazy to go hunting through my box of scraps. :( I also got to use my cool new punch I got at Scrapbook Haus. (threading water by Fiskars) I LOVE this thing. I will probably be using it on every project I complete for the next few months. lol I also used some cute little bling rhinestones I picked up at the Haus. They've got several different colors to choose from, and these little babies are self adhesive!

Now I just need to do a LO and a tag. I can't wait to see what all you talented people out there come up with. Don't forget to e-mail me your creations.

Get INSPIRED! (plus a new challenge)

Let a sketch inspire you to get to scrapbooking. I always tell the students in my Basics class that a sketch can be there BFF! I am by no means a very organized person. (You should see my scraproom. YIKES!) However, when it comes to doing a layout, I like to "map" things out. There are several different sites that offer free sketches. One of my all time favorites is Not only does she give sketches for scrapbooking layouts, there are also sketches for cards and tags. It is a very cool site. Sometimes you might not be able to find what you are looking for and have to create your own sketch like I did below. Either way, a sketch is a great way to get you inspired to scrap.

So, here's a new challenge for you. Using one of the sketches below, create a LO, card or tag. E-mail me a picture of your creation. The first 3 people who send me a picture will receive a prize! I will also post the pictures on the blog. So, what are you waiting for? GET BUSY!!!! (there is a 12 x 12 sketch, an 8 1/2 x 11 sketch, a card sketch, & a tag sketch)

Hello all!

Well, I guess I should start out by saying, PLEASE forgive me. I cannot believe it's been over a month since I've done a post. I am really going to try to get back in the swing of things. Life has been crazy around our house here lately. Between the holidays, stomach bug, unexpected news, starting back to school, finishing up a project, and just trying to be a mom, I've neglected this blog. Sorry. :(

I know that Susan has gotten lots of new stuff in at the store. And with CHA this week-end, she's sure to be getting LOTS more. If you see any "new release" stuff you like be sure to let her know. You can either e-mail the store ( or just post a message on the blog.

Have you seen the Tim Holtz organization tins? They are sooooooo cool. I had to get the distress ink case. I LOVE IT! Susan has the embossing powder case, the paint dabber case, and the distress ink case, but supplies are VERY limited. So get to the Haus and get yours today.

STAY TUNED!!!! Exciting news coming soon.
